The Procuress by Lucas Cranach, it's unbelievable theft in Tbilisi and investigation in a documentary by Toma Chagelishvili
Lucas Cranach, The Procuress
1548 (Art Museum of Georgia, Tbilisi)
(85cm x 57cm)
It was the most valuable painting in Tbilisi (40.000.000 USD in the 90s) was stolen, recovered by Georgian Police in a 10 year investigation in 2004.
Toma Chagelishvili made an intriguing documentary about it with Rustavi2.
A must see ! If you know some Georgian would be cool, but one can follow the story without the knowledge fairly.
