The kind of art - organism which will bring peace and new social vision...
To practicing on this installation for me is the act of freedom and feeling to be part of conflicts resolution. " Maka Batiashvili

27 Yankee Atomic Power Plant by Kenny Cole

this work I won in a nice contest, where I tried to figure out some background of this drawing. My guess was not too far from the drawn object, but nevertheless Mr. Cole pronounced me the winner.

You can follow the dialog here:

incredible works by

Kenny Cole

I wished to see similar works coming from the Caucasus Region

Talking to me ?

by the way, de Niro looks really like a Georgian here ;-)

and a great Parody is here:

Turkey bans Blogger and Georgia is blocked too

since Friday, 24th

more info here

http://www.basbasbas.com/blog/

As Caucasus Online is probably using Services of DigiTurk, also access from Georgia, Sakartvelo is blocked to any Blogger.com and blogspot.com sites. Do Turkish rules affect now on Georgia as well ?

I emailed my provider Caucasus Online and it's support twice to ask for help about this huge issue, but did not get any answer (hey it's weekend..) by now.

Google wanted to take care about this issue, without result by now. There is a discussion going on here:

http://tinyurl.com/55fon5

(with a workaround too)

Update:

Thanks to Caucasus Online, Digiturk, Google - it's working now again.

In memoriam H.... B....

In diesen hellen Nächten

In diesen hellen Nächten

In diesen hellen Nächten bist Du mir nah,
Stehst Du begütigend bei meinen Fiebern.
Wie oft, wie oft ich Dich so sah,
lächelnd, hinter den leis geschlossenen Lidern.
Wenn dann die Sehnsucht geigt,
Wiedererwachtes Verlangen schreit
Biege ich die Stunden zum Ring
Der fest umspannt
Was nicht ertrank –
Was immer wieder in mein Wissen dringt - -

"...in fact, it’s nearly all middle. ..."

"I’m discovering that making distinctions between high or low is extremely difficult, mainly because so many artists are aiming for the middle, in fact, it’s nearly all middle. It goes across the whole spectrum of our culture."

From Blurs

Schlobin 1943 (Weißrussland)

Nun fällt der erste Schnee -
Aus all der Drohung über stummen Wipfeln
Ist dieses Schweben uns geworden
Und hüllt in seinen Schleier ein
Die Toten auf den Feldern.
Legt sich, ein letztes Siegel, noch
In ihren Mund.
Herr,
lasse mich vergehn
in tränenlose Schwere
Vergib mein Irren auf den falschen Wegen
Und lehre mich der Demut letzten Grund

Jonathan Meese - "EZRA POUND"

found on Youtube

Ihr Stimmen der Nacht

Es gibt eine Stelle
an die man nicht rühren darf -
Einen Schatten
der sich über die Tiefe spannt -
Wo der Ton schlummert
den man nicht wecken darf
der das Denken zerbricht -
Ach, Ihr Stimmen der Nacht !
Verführt nicht meine Einsamkeit
zu diesem Frevel !
Erst muss ich noch die letzte Bitterkeit
aus einem wunden Herzen pressen -
in ihrem Tropfen
die letzte Hoffnung lösen.
Dann erst werd ich frei.

Hans-Jürgen Schnick

Hans-Jürgen Schnick

was my Great Uncle and he lived from 09.12.1914 till 03.09.1948

This poem wrote his mother Olga Schnick, geb. Frielinghaus (my Grand-grandmother) after the news of Hans' death 13.09.1948

Kummer ist versunken,
Not und Qual,
Wenn Du ausgetrunken
Den Pokal,

Den ein stiller Bruder
Dir gebracht.
Stumm taucht er die Ruder
In der Nacht.

Sternengoldbetropfte
Dunkle Flut
Schmerzenslos schon klopfte
Bald Dein Blut.

Tiefe blaue Welle
Wiegt das Boot
Über Traumes Schwelle
Nah am Tod.

Even in the far steppes of Asia
